The City
Santiago is the political and social capital of Chile, where more than 7 million people live in an environment that mixes history and modernity.
It is surrounded by two mountain ranges, which make it a unique city in the world. It has a great cultural legacy that is manifested in the number of historic buildings, such as the Palacio de La Moneda, the former National Congress, the Palacio de la Real Audiencia, as well as the Museum of Natural History, the Museumof Fine Arts, among others.
As the economic capital of the country, Santiago has become an excellent alternative for congresses, seminars and international fairs.
Santiago has a high-altitude, moderate Mediterranean climate with regular temperature variations during winter and summer. It rains between March and September (autumn and winter) with very low rain levels during summer. In November, during the Conference dates, the mean máximum rate temperature is 27.8° C (82º F), while the minimum average temperature is 10.6º C (51º F).
