ELEVENTH EDITION OF THE SERIES

Visit to Minera Valle Central – Cost: 110 USD

Visit to the facilities of Minera Valle Central in Requínoa, a company specialised in the recovery of copper and molybdenum from fresh and old tailings from Codelco Chile, El Teniente Division.

• Maximum capacity: 15 people
• Minimum Capacity: 10 people
• PPE: Requirement, personal protective equipment. Safety shoes and helmet.

 

Visit to the BHP CIO and AMTC – Cost: 70 USD

Visit to the BHP Integrated Operations Centre, located in Santiago, which allows real-time integration of the different production areas to optimise processes throughout the value chain and improve decision-making.
In addition, the Advanced Mining Technology Center will be visited, the main research centre in Chile in technology applied to mining, dedicated to generating world-class multidisciplinary research, transferring new technologies and training advanced human capital.

Visit Codelco Andina Division – Cost: 110 USD

División Andina is located more than 3,000 metres above sea level in the Valparaíso Region. Operations combine open pit and underground mining. The visit includes the transfer from Santiago to División Andina, where we will visit the Ovejería Dam and its Integrated Operations Centre.

• Minimum Capacity: 10 people
• PPE: Requirement, personal protective equipment. Safety shoes and helmet.

 

Visit to Codelco El Teniente Division – Closed

Visit to the largest underground copper mine in the world. Visit includes Caletones Smelter and Integrated Operations Centre.
