During the morning of Tuesday 23 August, Fernando Silva, Vice President of the IIMCh; Camilo Martínez, Manager of the IIMCh; and Renato Sepúlveda, Copper Manager, met with the Executive President of Compañía Minera Doña Inés de Collahuasi, Jorge Gómez.
During the meeting, both parties agreed on Collahuasi’s participation in the Copper 2022 International Conference, to be held between 13-17 November at the Metropolitan Santiago Events Centre (formerly Casa Piedra).
Jorge Gómez shared his vision of the mining industry and how Collahuasi has worked together with the communities, a topic that coincides with the IIMCh’s objective to make visible at this event.
According to Camilo Martínez, Manager of the Institute, «it is extremely important that companies such as Collahuasi participate in Copper. They need to highlight the work they are doing both in terms of production and their relationship with the communities.
